“The movie Aladdin saved me from falling into depression. I guess it’s because Aladdin had so little and he still had hope, and it made me think I could have it much worse. So I started thinking positively. Ever since then my life has been much better. I still have times where I feel horrible, but I just watch Aladdin and everything is better. It makes me believe there’s a happy ending for me.”

“Phenomenal cosmic power! Itty bitty living space!”
“When I was a kid, I repeatedly went into my backyard with a handful of blue glitter and tossed it into the sky, like the narrator in Aladdin does. Sometimes, when I have glitter, I still do this. “
Disney Hunger Games (wow, someone went dark… lol)
New Disney Princess artwork featured on the Disney Store website!!!
I really like how they did Ariel!
I really like Belle’s hair!
I’m going to ruin everything for everyone right now. Notice how the princesses never make eye contact or notice each other in these depictions? It’s because Roy Disney thought it was wrong to put all the princesses together like this. He believed Walt would not have liked it either. So as compromise the princesses never look at each other or notice each other. They look straight or off to the side. I learned this while writing my capstone.
Now there are exceptions to this because there depictions of the princesses having tea or partying together. I haven’t looked closely at these but they may also have the same stigma of never making eye contact with each other.
