I’m going to ruin everything for everyone right now. Notice how the princesses never make eye contact or notice each other in these depictions? It’s because Roy Disney thought it was wrong to put all the princesses together like this. He believed Walt would not have liked it either. So as compromise the princesses never look at each other or notice each other. They look straight or off to the side. I learned this while writing my capstone.

Now there are exceptions to this because there depictions of the princesses having tea or partying together. I haven’t looked closely at these but they may also have the same stigma of never making eye contact with each other.
